Formerly the Marigny, the AllWays Theatre boasts a rich, decade-long history as New Orleans main space for LGBT theater. Now with a broadened but still queer-friendly mission under new management, it and the AllWays Lounge have established themselves as two of New Orleans’ arts & entertainment hotspots, with exciting shows—music, burlesque, theater, performance art, and more—in each space almost every night. These are also home to inventive, experimental touring artists you won’t catch in other venues. The AllWays is close to ground zero for two other major elements of New Orleans cultural scene: annual events the New Orleans Fringe Festival and the Saints & Sinners Literary Festival.
