Coming Attractions - Odyssey's Shipwreck and Treasure Adventure
A new major league attraction is coming to the French Quarter. Again. Originally opened on August 27 with much fanfare from visitors and locals alike, Odyssey's Shipwreck and Treasure Adventure, featuring interactive exhibitions from the sunken SS Republic and more, found itself on a harrowing escape from the path of a hurricane for the second time in the ship's history. Bound from New York to New Orleans, the Republic sunk off the coast of Georgia in 1865 during a ferocious hurricane. Nearly 150 years later, the Republic, its treasures and history had to, once again, find refuge from a storm. This February 15 will see the second coming of this innovative attraction, which will transport visitors back in time and on an undersea adventure to search for sunken treasure and history. "When we originally opened in August 2005, the city warmly welcomed us and it remains a perfect location for Odyssey's first attraction," says Greg Stemm, Odyssey marine Exploration's co-founder. Merely steps away from the Republic's 1865 original dock destination, the Odyssey adventure has strong ties that can never truly be lost, come rain and high water.

Renew. Rebuild. Refresh. Hoi Polloi.
New Orleans and visiting fashionistas alike can find a refreshing retreat at funky boutique Hoi Polloi. This glamorous boutique has one fantastic mission: to bring functional and fabulous clothing to everyone, or the "hoi polloi."
Opened on December 1, 2005, this French Quarter newcomer has unique ties to New Orleans. "We opened our first Hoi Polloi in Ann Arbor, Michigan, using the French Quarter as our inspiration," says Hoi Polloi fashionista Lisa Shedlock. "We have family in New Orleans, so we wanted our second store to be there. The French Quarter embodies everything we wanted Hoi Polloi to be - eclectic, fun, and unique - so it seemed a natural fit. And with a little something for every age group and every price range, Hoi Polloi has all unique lines so customers won't be walking around wearing the same thing as everyone else."
Although the name means "the masses," this is one French Quarter boutique that treats each customer to an exclusive shopping experience.

Desirable Eats - Stanley Restaurant
Take a walk or a streetcar to two of the French Quarter's most desirable gourmet destinations in the city. Stanley, a casual eatery serving innovative po-boys with international flair, has the unique distinction as the first new restaurant to begin serving after Hurricane Katrina. Additionally, the restaurant's chef was named New Orleans Magazine's 2006 Chef of the Year. Talk about a grand opening. New Orleanians and visitors alike line up for food to soothe the soul and as well as the appetite. Open seven days a week, 8 am to 3 pm, Stanley serves up classic burgers, New Orleans style po-boys, and adventurous departures, such as the Korean Barbeque Po-Boy. This uncommon cafe even offers a breakfast po-boy featuring a delicately poached egg and smoked bacon topped with creamy hollandaise sauce. Now that's the breakfast of champions. And while Stanley is off to a tremendous start, its sister restaurant Stella! is preparing for a special reopening with three nights of Iron Chef menus, prepared by the visiting French Iron Chef, March 15, 16, and 17th. Visit both for an extraordinary New Orleans dining experience - satisfying breakfast, casual lunch or first class dinner.
