-Better than 90 percent of French Quarter shops, attractions,
hotels, restaurants, clubs and nightspots are recovered and reopened
after Hurricane Katrina. In fact at this point so many are back in service it's almost easier to name who's not open! The Presbytere, Old Mint and Madame John's Legacy - state museum properties- are still dark, but the Cabildo at Jackson Square is open. So is the Aquarium of the Americas, the French Market, Odyssey Shipwreck and Treasure Adventure, Canal Place, Jax Brewery, Hermann Grima House, the Historic New Orleans Collection, Gallier House, Steamboat Natchez, Ripley's and much more. Mr. B's and Bella Luna are still undergoing extensive renovations, but both expect to reopen shortly. Better than before, if that's possible! Antoine's, Brennan's, Galatoire's, Irene's, Broussard's,
Palace Cafe, Morton's, Cafe Du Monde, Acme Oyster House, Bombay Club, and Hillery's are ready for you and so are many others. Do check back here for the latest openings. The Quarter is definitely primed, polished and
eager to entertain and engage visitors in the heart of New Orleans.
